Jade Mountain’s Agent Rates

Jade Mountain, Anse Chastanet’s “resort within a resort” on St. Lucia, has rates available for travel agents.

During their stay, agents will receive a complete tour of the 600-acre property, a complimentary spa treatment, a complimentary scuba or snorkel experience, a jungle biking or kayaking pass and a half day sailing cruise on the hotel’s yacht, Serenity.

From July 30 through October 31, 2008, the industry rate is $329 per person, double occupancy, for run-of-house accommodations in an “Infinity Pool Sanctuary,” inclusive of tax/service and breakfast and dinner. Rates from November 1through December 19, 2008, the rate is $399 per person.


Alternatively, those wishing to have guaranteed room reservations in specific room categories will receive a discount on the published daily rates: 50 percent will be applied in “superior” and “beach deluxe” categories, and 25 percent in “hill deluxe” and “premium” category. Anse Chastanet’s themed weekly packages are available to agents with a 25 percent overall discount in the various room categories.

New GM for Portugal’s Aquapura Douro Valley

Aquapura Douro Valley (www.aquapurahotels.com) in Portugal has named Maurizio Romani general manager. Luxury travel advisors will know Romani from his most recent role as general manager for Hotel L’Andana in Tuscany. He’s also had senior positions at Grosvenor House in London, Hotel Danielle in Venice and Forte Village Resort in Sardinia.

Aquapura Douro Valley opened in Portugal’s World Heritage wine region in summer 2007. We’re told that the Aquapura Hotels has plans to expand with additional property openings in Bahia and Fortaleza, Brazil; Alentejo, Portugal; Prague; Italy; Macedonia and Panama.

Jetset Report: Free Chauffeur with Air France

Air France (www.airfrance.com) reports that its passengers flying in l’Espace Première (First Class) or l’Espace Affaires (Business Class) will receive complimentary chauffeur service to and from New York-JFK, London-Heathrow or London-Gatwick, and from London-Heathrow arriving from Los Angeles-LAX. To be eligible, passengers must purchase an Air France ticket in First Class or Business Class for travel on nonstop flights between: Los Angeles-LAX to London-LHR, or New York-JFK to London-LHR, or New York-JFK to London-LGW.

L’Espace Première passengers may be driven 70 miles to and from London-LHR, and l’Espace Affaires customers may be driven 50 miles to and from London-LHR, London-LGW and New York-JFK airports.

The offer can be fulfilled by calling the Air France Chauffeur Service Desk at 1-800-268-0555. Ticketed passengers can modify or cancel their reservation by calling the Air France Chauffeur Service Desk.

Fairmont Gives Food-and-Beverage Credit

Fairmont Sonoma Fairmont (www.fairmont.com) is offering guests a $50 food-and-beverage credit per room, per night for stays of two consecutive nights on any reservations made with an American Express Card before June 30, 2008. Several Fairmont locations are also offering Triple Miles on Only One Way Summer bookings through its programs with Aeroplan, American Airlines AAdvantage, and United Mileage Plus.
